Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” (Matthew 19:14).
‘Faith Friends’ is a new program at St. Paul’s Waccamaw UMC. Through ‘Faith Friends,’ members of our church reach out to our youth and children, to connect, and share our love and faith. ‘Faith Friends’ stay in touch, pray for each other, encourage one another, and meet for a sandwich at church one day, for example; chat and have fun, and enjoy being on a faith journey together.
If you have a young person who would like to have a ‘Faith Friend,’ please contact the church office at email@example.com or 843-237-2294. And, any of our adult members who would like to be a ‘Faith Friend’ to a youth, please let us know.
What a great way to encourage the next generation as you grow in faith together. For more information, contact Carolyn McGill.
It is our honor and privilege to provide quality Christian care for your little one, ages six months through three years, in our nursery. At age three, we begin to transition your child to Sunday School.
On Sunday mornings, our nursery is available from 8:30 a.m. until 12:15 p.m. Additional nursery times are provided for special services and events as needed. We have a wonderful caring nursery team.
Some Helpful Nursery Notes:
Please provide diapers, a change of clothes, and bottle(s) if your child will need to be fed during nursery time.
Please alert us if your child has an allergy.
Please sign your child in on our whiteboard in the nursery and let us know where you may be found in case of emergency (i.e. Sunday school, Worship Service, or both).
When you arrive for the 8:45 a.m. Worship Service or the 11:00 Worship Service, please invite your child to pick up a worship bag from the cross in the narthex. The bag contains crayons, coloring pages, notepads and more. Simply return these as you leave.
During the 11:00 Worship Service, we offer a ‘Children’s Time’ message for children for ages pre-school through second grade. Following ‘Children’s Time,’ our little ones are invited to ‘Children’s Church’ in the Education Building where they learn about worship, practice serving as an acolyte, hear a Bible story, act out a puppet show, create a craft and have a snack. Volunteers are always welcome.
